KAFFEE HAG

Kaffee HAG Space

The Kaffee HAG project (working title) is an open-ended cultural project of the Zentrum für Kollektivkultur e. V. (ZfK) in Bremen, which emerged from a merger between the Anderswo Kollektiv e. V. and the Conartism Kollektiv. The members of the ZfK have been shaping a not inconsiderable part of Bremen's subculture program for years. The Kaffee HAG project aims to create a free and cultural space that promotes the Bremen scene in the long term.

As part of this project, a venue for clubs, concerts, theater, performances and other events, as well as an open workshop, studios, studio and rehearsal rooms will be created in parts of the old coffee roasting building at Bremen harbor.

In cooperation with the collective Barrieren Sprengen e.V., the project is being conceived in the light of accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Spatial/physical barriers on the site have already been identified and corresponding options for structural adaptations have been discussed with an architect on site. Funding applications are currently being submitted for their implementation, but approval is still pending. Barriers of an administrative and conceptual nature, which are generally found in event concepts and planning structures in particular, will be addressed at a later date.

We see our work in this project as process-oriented work in which we can constantly implement and expand our ideal ideas step by step through communication and reflection.

The project is supported by the Bremen State Disability Commissioner. Mr. Arne Frankenstein supports the Kaffee HAG project, especially in light of the cooperation with "Kollektiv Barrieren Sprengen e.V." and assured us of his advice and support.
